Na Brasil Ride 2019, um dos maiores eventos ciclísticos da América Latina, pude novamente captar o dia-a-dia de uma das melhores equipes de Mountain Bike do mundo, a Cannondale Factory Racing, em 7 dias pelas trilhas de Arrial d´Ajuda/BA.
Na 6ª etapa presenciei um belo momento, onde o massagista britânico Martin Newhill fazia sua mágica acontecer em uma sessão com Manuel "Mani" Fumic, campeão nacional da Alemanha. Fotografei a pedido do próprio Martin, tentando manter aquela aura de intenso relaxamento e técnica.
Fiquei muito feliz pelo seu pedido e por ter visto tudo de perto, pois o Martin é um profissional reservado e reticente com fotografias enquanto trabalha. A conexão entre nossos trabalhos foi o grande promotor das cenas. Um objetivo em trabalhos deste nível é manter a máxima transparência, profissionalismo e respeito com a equipe, pois eles precisam de um ambiente de muito foco no que estão fazendo. Preciso ficar invisível. Este foi um dos momentos mais marcantes que tive na fotografia.
During the Brasil Ride 2019, one of the biggest cycling events in Latin America, I again had the pleasure to shoot the day life of one of the world´s best Mountain Bike teams , the Cannondale Factory Racing.
In stage #6 I witnessed a great moment, where the British massagist Martin Newhill made his magic happen in a session with Manuel Fumic, the Germany National champion. I shoot the action at Martin´s own request, trying to maintain that aura of intense relaxation and a lot of technique.
I was very happy for he Martin´s request and for having seen everything up close, because Martin is a very reserved and reticent professional about photographers while working. The connection between our works was the great promoter of the scenes. One of my goals when working at this level is to keep maximum transparency, professionalism and respect for the team, as they need an environment of deep focus on what they are doing. I need to be invisible. This was one of the most memorable moments I had in photography.
